Kennedale High School will be under new leadership this fall.High School Principal Rita Pintavalle informed the high school staff last week that she had been reassigned to the central office and would be working with the secondary campuses. {{more}}Mrs. Pintavalle has been at the high school for almost 15 years, serving as assistant principal for 4 years before becoming the principal in 2006. This year she was selected as TASSP Region 1 High School Principal of the Year and elected as the state president for the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals.In her statement to the staff she said, ?I have spent most of my personal and professional life in and dedicated to the service of KISD and the Kennedale community. Please know that I will continue to support and advocate for KHS and the WILDCAT STAFF.?
The unexpected.move came as a surprise to the KHS faculty, students and parents. No official statement has been made.
The job has been listed on the Kennedale ISD website and interviews by Superintendent Gary Dugger have started with the goal of hiring a replacement in the next few weeks.
