James Arthur student, Aamir Shaikh, won a gold and a bronze medal in racquetball at the Wilson Junior Olympic National Championship competition last month in Des Moines, Iowa.

Born and raised in Texas, ten year old Aamir has been playing racquetball for a year and half, coached by his father, Azam Shaikh. ?His family moved to Kennedale over four years ago. {{more}}

This is the 40th year for the Wilson Junior Olympic National Championship which was held June 26th to June 30th at Oakmoor Racquet and Fitness Center Des Moines, Iowa. ?At the competition Aamir won the age 10 and under Doubles Gold Medal and in Singles he won a Bronze.

This record makes him the highest ranking age 10 and under Racquetball player in Texas. His father says they practice and play together almost every day.?
