ARLINGTON ? A man fleeing Kennedale police died late Friday after the van he was driving hit a concrete culvert along Interstate 20 just west of U.S. 287, Arlington police said Saturday.
The man, whose identity had not been released pending notification of relatives, appears to have been trying to drive {{more}}across the grassy median separating the I-20 main lanes from the service road when the crashed occurred at about 9 p.m., police said.
The man, who was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, was believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s, police said. The van was reported stolen in Fort Worth on Wednesday, police said.
The investigation continued Saturday afternoon, police said.
