Martha Jean Oliver, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Waterville Residential Care Center. {{more: Continue …}}
 
Jean was born on December 17, 1928, in Fort Worth, TX, the daughter of the late Rufus Lee and Mary Renee Shaw Lowery.
 
She had lived the majority of her life in Fort Worth, but living in Madison from 2002-2009. She then moved back to Fort Worth and returned to Madison in 2015. She had worked for SAM?s Club in Fort Worth as a door greeter and held the same position at the WalMart of New Hartford. Jean was a dedicated worker and enjoyed her contact with the public.
 
She was not afraid to speak her mind, and was that her mind made a decision, that was it. She enjoyed country dancing. But most of all, Jean will be remembered as devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
 
Jean is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Gentelia, of Madison, her brother and sister-in-law, George and Margie Lowery; her sisters, Rosalie Smith and Viola Hinkle; her cherished grandchildren, Dwight, Rhonda, Gary, Shelly, John, Dione, Sam, Gayenell; cherished great grandchildren, Dwight, Jeff, Josh, Chaz, Amber, Sarah, Derek, John, III, Erica, Jennifer, David, CJ, Kaitlin, Shelby, Mindy, and Sam; cherished great-great grandchildren, Leah Grace, Anna Faith, Adlee Mae, Gabe, Allianne, and Harmony. Jean is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
 
She was predeceased by her parents Rufus and Mary, her husband, E.C. Oliver, and her daughter, Sonja Kenrick.
 
In keeping with Jean’s wishes service will be private. Interment will be made in the Hudson Cemetery, Kennedale, TX. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison, Wisconsin.
