Springtown 8 Kennedale 7 ? Thursday, March 7
 
On March 7 the Kats dropped a heartbreaker against Springtown 8-7 to open district play. Kennedale scored 6 runs in the first two innings but managed only one run over the next 5 innings.
 
In first inning action the Kats had singles by Jamie Franks, Alexis Neifert, A Bradberry and walks by Josie Mensing and Alyssa McElvany (hit by pitch) scoring two runs. Jamie Franks recorded three strikeouts. Score 2-0.
 
In the second the Kats score 4 when Jenna Webb reaches base on ground ball error, Jamie Franks hits a triple, Ashley McElvany and Alyssa Bradberry walk and a Megan Calhoun double. Springtown goes 4 ?out. Score 6-0.
 
Over the next three innings, the Kats sent only four batters to the plate each inning with just three Kats reaching base with a walk (Jenna Webb) and 2 singles (Alexa Niefert and Gabryelle Slider). Meanwhile, Springtown got 7 runs off of 4 singles, a double and a 3 run homer. Score 6-8.
 

The Kats did get a run in the 6th while getting two walks (J Franks, A McElvany), a fielder?s choice and ground out (A Bradberry). Springtown went out in 3 with a pop out and a double play by the Kats. Score 7-8.

 
However, the Kats were unable to find a base in the 7th going out in order with two ground outs and a pop out. Final score 7-8.
 
Kennedale 15 Benbrook 0 ? Friday, March 10
 
The Lady Kats waylaid the new kids on the block in the second game of district play, winning big 15-0 in just three innings of play. Benbrook is playing their first varsity season as the newest high school in Fort Worth ISD.
 

The Kats scored 5 runs in the bottom of the first after getting a flyout (A Ormsby), a popout (J Webb) and a strikeout (J Franks) to end Benbrook?s first at bats. In the inning the Kats got hits by J Franks (triple), M Howard (triple), M Calhoun (single) and walks by A Bradberry (hit by pitcher), A Neifert (hit by pitcher) and J Webb. Score 5-0.

 
In the second, Benbrook went four and out with two strikeouts (J Franks) and a ground out (M Calhoun ? A McElvany) after getting a double. The Kats responded with 8 runs getting two walks (J Franks and A. Neifert); five singles (J Webb [2], M Calhoun, J Mensing, J Franks, ); one triple (G Slider) and reaching twice on error (M Howard, A Neifert). Score 13-0.
 
In the third, Benbrook got two on base by a walk and a hit by pitcher and a double but Kennedale stopped their run with a double play (J Franks, M Calhoun, A McElvany) and a strikeout (J Franks). The game was called in the bottom of the 3rd after Kennedale loaded the bases ending with two runs scoring to end the game.
 

Mineral Wells 9 Kennedale 3 ? Tuesday, March 14

 
Kennedale led in this game through 4 innings of play by scoring one run in the first and another in the 3rd and keeping Mineral Wells off of home plate.
 
In the first, Kennedale loaded the bases with a single by J Webb, a single by J Franks and a walk by A Neifert and then walked in a run by M Howard. Mineral Wells was able to stop more scores with 3 straight strikeouts. The Lady Rams did get two runners on base but Kennedale got 3 outs with a groundout (M Calhoun ? A McElvany), a fielder choice bunt (J Franks- A McElvany) and a strikeout (J Franks).
 
Kennedale and Mineral Rams went scoreless in the 2nd, despite a single (J Webb), a double (J Franks) and a walk (A Niefert) that loads the bases. MW manages a single but was put out with a groundout (A Bradberry ? A McElvany), a strikeout (J Franks) followed by another groundout (M Calhoun ? A McElvany).
 
In the 3rd, Kennedale got another run to go up 2-0 with a single (M Calhoun), a sacrifice bunt (A McElvany), a walk (A Bradberry) and then a fly out (J Mensing) on which Calhoun scores after a tagup at 3rd. Kennedale would not score again until the top of the 7th.

Mineral Wells went scoreless through the 5th when the hits came on like a sudden rain. Mineral Wells scored 4 in the 5th and 5 in the 6th to go to win the game 9-3 and out hitting the Lady Kats 17-9

 
Kennedale 15 Castleberry 0 ? Thursday March 16
 
Kennedale evened up its district record at 2-2 when they swamped the Castleberry Lady Lions 15-0, getting 13 hits in 3 innings of play and allowing only 2 hits by Castleberry.
 
Jamie Franks was the winning pitcher getting 17 strikes on 23 pitches with 4 strikeouts in 2.1 innings of play.
 
Kennedale had six doubles. Hitting for two were Jamie Franks (5 RBI), Alexas Neifert (2 RBI), Ashley McElvany, Mary Grace Howard (2 RBI), Megan Calhoun and Gabryele Slider (3 RBI).
