Kennedale City Manager George Campbell has announced the appointment of Lakeita Sutton as Director of Finance and Information Technology (IT). Ms. Sutton currently serves as Director of Finance for the City of Glenn Heights. Sutton will fill the position left vacant in April of 2019 by the resignation of Brady Olsen. {{more: Continue …}}?
?Ms. Sutton has a comprehensive understanding of all areas of government finance and has demonstrated great success both in her educational achievements and in her professional pursuits,? Campbell said. ?Her proven skills in forecasting, budgeting, and analysis will serve the City?s Finance Department well.?

With more than a decade of experience, Sutton has been with the City of Glenn Heights since 2015 where she has proven her ability to craft and implement departmental procedures and to motivate her team to strive towards established goals.

She earned a Bachelor?s Degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. Sutton is a member of GFOA (Government Finance Officers Association), GFOAT (the Texas chapter), and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority; and is currently in the process of becoming a Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO).?
