For those whose world spins around the Final Four, there will be nothing else happening this weekend. But, for those disenfranchised spouses, siblings or offsprings, there is life in Kennedale for the next three days.
 
It begins Friday with a nightlife that includes local artists being featured in concerts at the Arts? Festival at Town Center Plaza, sports that run the gamut from soccer, softball, baseball and track all featuring state ranked teams/runners, car racing with a full schedules by both tracks. {{more}}
 

Friday is the kickoff of the annual

Kennedale Art in the Park Festival

that has become a mainstay each spring in downtown Kennedale. Friday night the festival kicks off with a jazz group from KHS at 5:30 followed by performers from Fellowship Academy at 6:30 p.m. and then the headliner is Kennedale?s own Lannie

Flowers, an internationally recognized singer and song composer. He takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. The Festival will continue on Saturday with activities and performances scheduled from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and then again on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

 

If you like sports there is an overload on Friday night. The KHS #3

Lady Kats Softball team

and the KHS #17

Wildcat Baseball team

are hosting Springtown with the Lady Kats playing at 7:30 p.m. and the Wildcats playing at 8 p.m. The Kennedale

Track team with runners that have produced top 10 times in the state as well as the nation are hosting the Kennedale Wildcat Invitational. The track meet kicks off Friday morning and will continue into the evening.

If you can?t make NASCAR in Fort Worth, you can take in the races at Texas Raceway (drag strip) or Kennedale Speedway

Park (oval). The Raceway will start with the ?Triple Threat? on Friday at 6 p.m. and continue with races on Saturday and Sunday. The Speedway has a full schedule on Saturday evening beginning at 7 p.m.
