?
A mother’s role in the Bible is one of the key things because a woman brought Jesus Christ to this world. Every mother in the world is similar to Mother Mary from this point of view.{{more: continue …}} Every woman can feel the sacred calling of being a mother and giving birth to another of God’s creation.
?
Motherhood is one of the most important functions in the life of many women the Lord has assigned to them.
?
In this letter to Titus, Paul the Apostle says that women are assigned to love their children, to love their husbands, be pure-minded, accurate, caring of the home.
?
A woman become a mother when she receives a gift from the Lord. In the same message to Titus, we understand a mother’s love in the Bible, which is different from all other types of love.
?
The essence of this love is in taking care of the children, supporting them in everything, bringing them up as good people, embracing them every time they feel alone, and helping them get through hard times.
?
Here?s a list of things that should be done for children by both father and mother in the Bible verses:
  • Presence in the morning, at daytime, and in the evening (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
  • Engagement in all the discussions, collective thinking about the life and everyday events (to Ephesians 6:4)
  • Teaching of the Bible and biblical world outlook (Psalms 77:5-6, Deuteronomy 4:10, to Ephesians 6:4)
  • Training of a child who is mastering certain skills and developing his strength (The Book of Proverbs 22:6)
  • Discipline that comes out of the children?s ability to honor Christ and build their life in accordance with the Lord?s commandments (Ephesians 6:4, to Hebrews 12:5-11, Proverbs 13:24; 19:28; 22:15; 23:13-14; 29:15-17)
  • Bringing the children up in doubtless love, with a constant verbal support and appraisal, and a right for a failure (to Titus 2:4, 2 to Timothy 1:7, to Ephesians 4:29-32; 5:1-2, to Galatians 5:22, 1 to Peter 3:8-9)
  • Giving the children an example, which is living in accordance with one?s own words, and giving the children a good example to follow (Deuteronomy 4:9, 15, 23, Proverbs 10:9, 11:13, Psalms 36:18, 37).
Who is the very best mother in the Bible?
?
A woman was chosen to give birth to the God?s Son, Jesus Christ. The Holy Mary is the most significant mother in the Holy Book. Though equal, men and women have different roles in a family. While a man is a provider of the family, a woman is a mother and keeper of the home; she is another Mother Mary for her family.
?

There are many other significant mothers in the Bible.

  • Eve, the mother of the humankind.
  • Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist. She was old enough to be a mother but the Lord gave her a chance to conceive and give birth to the forerunner of Jesus Christ.
  • Jochebed, the mother of Moses, who saved her son?s life and even managed to breastfeed him while he was under the charge of the Pharaoh?s daughter.
  • Anna, the mother of Samuel. She was barren but prayed as she could to the Lord for a son and the Lord gave her a wonderful son, a judge and a prophet.
  • The mother of Samson who was left unnamed in the Bible. She had a vision of an angel who told her that she was about to conceive the strongest man who ever lived, and she completed all of the angel?s commandments and gave birth to the most physically powerful man in history.
There are many other Mothers in the Bible. They are examples of the kind of mothers we should be to our children.?
