The outdoor learning center was built over the summer by Danny and Kara Lynn Greenfield and is available for classes to use for lessons and activities.
The 3rd grade students went outside to find multiplication task cards that had been ?hidden? around various spots in the garden. Once students found a card, they did the problem with a partner and recorded their answer.
Students and teacher loved being outside in the perfect fall weather.
?It was a wonderful way to practice what they had learned in a relaxing,? said Principal Cari Blackstone. She added, ?We even got to see a few monarch butterflies while we were out there.?
