R.W. Holden, 85, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, surrounded by his wife and family. He now resides with our Lord and Savior.Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Funeral Home Chapel. {{more}}Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers with great-grandchildren serving as honorary pallbearers.
R.W. Holden was born Feb. 25, 1928, to Richard Wesley and Dora Lou Holden; there were 14 children born into this family. He owned and operated Holden Truck and Tractor for over 50 years out of Kennedale.
R.W. was preceded in death by his 11 brothers and sisters and daughter, Trudy Mae Coladipietro.
Survivors: Wife of 67 years, Betty Holden; daughter, Judy Callaham and husband, Benny; grandchildren, Robert Case, Roger Case, Jason Callaham, Kelly Ripptoe, Pam Burks, Tammie Ohendalski; great-grandchildren, Amanda Case, Wesley Case, Melody Case, Ashlyn Case, Steven Case, Haley Callaham, Daniel Burks, Patrick Burks, Hunter Pyle, Kayla Stark, Mason Ohendalski; sister, Nelva Brown; brother, Elderidge Holden, both of Supply, N.C.
