Roberto Rodriguez, 69, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015. Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday at San Mateo Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 6 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Chapel. {{more}}

 

Roberto was born Jan. 26, 1946, in Fort Worth to Librado Rodriguez Sr. and Francisca Vera Rodriguez.

 

He was raised in Kennedale and graduated from Trimble Tech High School. He devoted his time to the Golden Gloves and ran the 25th St. Boxing Club for many years.

 

Roberto was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie Bargas and Louise “Chita” Gomez; brothers, Raymond Rodriguez and Librado “Lee” Rodriguez Jr.

 

Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Rosalva; daughter, Lisa Rachelle; son, Robert Steven and wife, Neka; grandchildren, Kevin, Vanessa, Stevie, Megan, Starr and Jacob; sister, Rosario Fernandez and husband, Ricardo; brother, Luis Rodriguez and wife, Glynis.
