Ruby Nell Cooper, 86, passed away Saturday Aug. 23, 2014. Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Kennedale. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Blessing. {{more}}Ruby was born in Mansfield on June 11, 1928, the daughter of Thurman H. “Cap” Henry and Nellie Loggins Henry. She married Douglas G. Cooper in Kennedale on Dec. 14, 1946. Ruby was a retired lab technician for Alcon Labs. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kennedale for 67 years, an Agape Class member, WMU, a Sunday school teacher and a volunteer for Bisbee Food Bank. She was president of the Kennedale PTA and a lifetime member.Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.Survivors: Husband, Douglas Cooper; sons, Melvin Cooper and wife, Carol, and Kenneth Cooper and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Jeannie Harper and husband, Brian, Douglas Cooper and wife, Katie, Celeste Gamble and husband, David, and Nathan Cooper and wife, Melissa; great-grandchildren, Ainsley, Caroline and Lorelei Gamble and Kale and Calla Cooper; and brothers, Joe Henry and Ray Henry.Visitation: Blessing Funeral Home – Mansfield Drivingdirection Blessing
