Over the next two weeks in Kennedale there will be a number of chances to enjoy the music and events of the season. {{more}}
On the first day, Tuesday evening, December 9, bands from Kennedale Junior High and James Arthur Intermediate will be present a free holiday concert at the KISD Performing Arts Center (PAC) on the campus of Kennedale High School beginning at 7 p.m.
On the second day, Thursday evening, December 11, the choirs from Kennedale High School and Kennedale Junior will perform in Holiday Extravaganza in a free public concert at the KISD PAC building beginning at 7 p.m. And, Fellowship Academy students from the elementary and junior high school will present ?It is a Wonder-full Life?, a Christmas Musical at Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington beginning at 6:30 p.m.
On the third day, Saturday morning, December 13, the KHS Band and Booster Club will hold their annual Santa Claus Pancake Breakfast and Craft Show. Christmas crafts, gifts and special music will be presented along with pictures with Santa. Breakfast will be served starting at 9:00 a.m. and continue to 11 a.m. The Craft and Gift show will continue until 2 p.m.
On the fourth day, Monday, December 15, the award winning KHS Wildcat Band will be in concert presenting holiday music in a free, public event beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the KISD PAC building.
On the fifth day, Wednesday, December 17, Life Fellowship Church in Kennedale will hold a special Candlelight Service beginning at 7 p.m.
And finally, on the sixth day, Thursday, December 18, there will be a special performance of Macy?s Yes, Virginia The Musical, by students from James Arthur Intermediate School. Guest choirs from Robert Patterson Elementary and James Delaney Elementary will also be performing. It is free but a gift of a child?s unwrapped toy(s) or can good(s) will be very much appreciated. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. with performances starting at 6:30 p.m.
