SAN ANGELO ? Angelo State’s Morgan Spearman was named the Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week for her performance at the St. Mary’s College Classic.
Spearman was named all-tournament at the St. Mary’s Classic after averaging .727 over the weekend. The senior went 8-for-11 with five runs scored and one double. She stole four bases and had an on-base percentage of .786. {{more}}
The Kennedale native has a career .386 average, fourth all-time in ASU history, with 147 runs scored and 111 RBIs. The All-American is currently second in ASU history with a .492 on-base percentage.
Spearman and the Rambelles will host the ASU George McCorkle Classic starting on Saturday at Mayer Field.
