Wadley told Star Telegram reporter Shawn Smajstrla ([email protected])that he had transferred into Kennedale from Tyler Lee his sophomore year. He started out playing defense but got the chance to play running back again last year, something he had done since he was 5 years old.Last year, he only had a few carries behind Senior Juwan Washington (San Diego State), saying to Smajstrla, ?I was new to the school and I knew that they had their guy [Washington]. It was about patience and just waiting for my time and learning from him.Wadley credited his team mates for his big Friday night game, telling Smajstrla, “Our big men up front really opened holes for me. I just followed their lead. I didn?t do it all by myself, I had help from my teammates.”Kennedale Head Coach Richard Barrett said of Wadley, ?I was pleasantly surprised, but I don?t think he did anything we didn?t all think he could do, given the opportunity and the right time.”Barrett added, “he can take it to the house anytime he gets the ball.?
