Seniors Kennedale High School band members Anna Llamas and Ileana Gamillo were selected to the Association of Texas Small School Bands 2016 Texas All State Band.Anna is a saxophonist with the Wildcat Band and is the daughter of Mario and Miriam Llamas of Arlington. After placing as one of the leading chairs of the all region band, the top students advance to the next round to compete with students from across the state at the all area band auditions. The process concluded in January with some 250 students being selected for all state honors.At the final audition, Ileana placed 3rd chair in the state on euphonium and Anna placed 2nd chair in the state on baritone saxophone.in concert at the San Antonio Convention Center …The ATSSB All State Band met in rehearsals in San Antonio, Texas, February 10-12th and presented a public concert in the Lila Cockerel Theatre at the San Antonio convention center on Saturday February 13th.
