Meet the members of the Planning and Zoning Commission
P&Z Place 1: Carolyn Williamson
Carolyn was born and raised in Kennedale, and worked for American Airlines for almost 30 years before retiring. She?s active in the choir at Bethesda Community Church in Fort Worth. Carolyn enjoys her quiet and peaceful life here in Kennedale, and appreciates that the city invites residents to be part of these boards that help shape the future of the city. Carolyn is also a charter member of the Kennedale Historical Society and has worked at both the city and county level in the election process.
P&Z Place 2: Harry Browne
Harry is a former US Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Diver with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA. He?s also a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and works as Director of Engineering at Vermilion Cliffs Partners (oil and gas producer).
P&Z Place 3: Stephen Brim
Stephen moved to Kennedale in 2009 after graduating from UTA with a degree in Civil Engineering. He works for an engineering consulting firm in Fort Worth, and his exposure to city government through his job motivated Stephen to commit to a civic role in his own community. He began serving the City of Kennedale on the Parks Board before moving to his current position on P&Z.
P&Z Place 4: Thomas Pirtle (Vice Chair)
Tom, an architect with experience in retail and commercial, moved to Kennedale about ten years ago. He believes in the goals of the city?s Master Plan and enjoys being a part of making those plans a reality. Tom has been an adjunct professor at Tarrant County College, a judo instructor, and completed several pro bono architectural design and planning projects. He also volunteers for the Tarrant County Food Bank
P&Z Place 5: Jeff Whitacre
Jeff received his bachelor?s and master?s in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M, and a Master of Public Administration from UTA. He and his wife, Beth, moved to Kennedale in 2014, and are active members of Connect Church in Arlington. Jeff’s passion is traveling, especially to places where few others have dared to go.
