Kennedale High School did some serious work this past Saturday at the UIL Academic District Meet held at Benbrook Middle High School on Saturday, March 25th. {{more:CONTINUE …}}
The Academic Beasts from KHS took the Big Trophy with a 1st Place finish along with 14 individual gold and silver awards, 5 gold team finishes and 4 special honors.District standings …

The most decorated Kennedale student was senior Carson Ham who won 2nd in Computer Science, 1st in Science, Top Chemistry Student, Top Physics Student (shared with another Kennedale student Jay Acosta) and was a member of two 1st place teams (Computer Science and Science).

All students who won a first or second place and teams that won 1st place will advance to region competition. Kennedale will be taking 20 students next week to the regional meet at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, April 6-8.
