The KHS Wildcat Marching Band has earned a trip to the UIL State Finals in San Antonio on November 3rd.This is the fifth consecutive time for the Marching Wildcats and for Director Erol Oktay. {{more}}One of 22 statewide
Twenty-two bands have qualified from 7 different areas of the state. Kennedale, the only 4A representative from Tarrant County, joins Springtown, Argyle, Princeton and Melissa from the DFW/North Texas area. Argyle is the defending champion for 4A.
Competition begins on Monday at the Alamodrome. Preliminaries for Kennedale are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Finals are set to begin at 6:30 p.m. with results announced at 9 p.m.
The Wildcat Band will be staying at the LaQuinta Convention Center Hotel in San Antonio, arriving on Sunday and returning on Tuesday at approximately 6 p.m.
Ticket information
For single events (prelims OR finals): Adult tickets will be $20 ($16 + a $4 Alamodome facility fee). Student tickets (grades 7 to 12) will be $15 ($11 + a $4 Alamodome facility fee). For the all day events (prelims AND finals): Adult tickets will be $32 ($28 + a $4 Alamodome facility fee). Student tickets (grades 7 to 12) will be $26 ($22 + a $4 Alamodome facility fee). Adult tickets will be sold from the time the event goes on sale through the day of the event. Student tickets will only be offered for sale on the day of the event day at the Alamodome.
