Richard Barrett, Kennedale Head Coach, seems to have created a football machine – just fill in positions with a new cast of players each year and keep on [steam] rolling. The Wildcats are currently 5-0 and ranked #4 in statewide AP 4A poll, up from #6 two weeks ago. The Cats have not lost a regular season game since 2013 with the current streak at 20. {{more}}

It will not be a simple walk …

At least two teams will challenge for the title, Springtown and Alvarado. Kennedale will play Springtown this Friday night in Springtown. Springtown (2-3) was projected to finish in 3rd place in District 7-4A. Alvarado (4-1) should present the best challenge to Kennedale for a fourth district title. Just like Springtown, the game against Alvarado will be on the road at Alvarado on October 30.
