Friday evening after two weeks of practice, #2 Waco La Vega invade Wildcat stadium to probe the #4 Kennedale Wildcats (Texas High School Football poll).
The La Vega Pirates finished 13-1 last year and was a regional finalist. The Pirates return 11 starters, 6 on offense and 5 on defense. While they lost some key offensive and defensive lineman, they return, as does Kennedale, a killer of a backfield.

At 5:30 p.m. the freshmen and JV will start at the 40 yard line and go opposite direction for about one hour, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Then the varsity will take the field about 7:00-7:15 p.m.
La Vega’s #1 offense will go up against Kennedale’s #1 defense for 15 plays and then they will switch with the Wildcat offensive starters versus the Pirates defense starters, again for 15 plays.
