Reports: 07/26/20 – 08/01/20

07/28 — Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence)
S. Kinney Street
At 7:41 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A mother and daughter, both adults, had been in a verbal argument when the daughter struck the mother with a glass object. Both females fell to the floor fighting. The daughter had left the scene before officers arrived. The victim did exhibit injuries consistent with her account of the assault. 

07/29 — Sexual Assault
Tealpond Drive
At 11:23 p.m. an officer responded to JPS Hospital on a reported sexual assault. A female victim reported that a known male had sexually assaulted her on July 28, 2020. The offense was reported to have taken place in the suspect’s residence. A sexual assault exam was performed by medical staff. 

07/29 — Criminal Mischief
4th Street
A victim reported that unknown suspect(s) threw a cinder block through the front window of her residence. The victim reported that this is the third such occurrence in the last few months but did not report the first two. 

07/30 — Theft $100 to $750
Kennedale Parkway
At 7:40 p.m. officers responded to a report of the theft of cigarettes. A male removed several packs of cigarettes from behind the store counter and fled the scene on foot. 

07/31 — Fail to Report Accident
N. Dick Price Road
At 8:50 a.m. an officer responded to an abandoned vehicle. A green Volkswagen was observed off of the roadway. An unknown driver had struck a fence and tree. The driver fled the scene. The vehicle had a license plate attached to the rear and a second, different plate underneath on the ground. The rear plate was registered to a Mazda truck and the second plate was registered to the Volkswagen. Inside the vehicle, officers found a box containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine. The vehicle was impounded for further investigation. 

07/31 — Identity Theft
Municipal Drive
At 1:47 p.m. a victim reported an unknown person had used his identity to apply for unemployment benefits. 

08/01 — Credit/Debit Card Abuse

At 3:52 p.m. an officer received a report of a known suspect using a female victim’s debit card information to access her bank account funds. 

Reports: 08/02/20 – 08/08/20

08/02 — Abandoned Vehicle
Joplin Road
At 8:54 p.m. officers responded to a report of a burned-out motorcycle. The motorcycle was located on a dead-end road. The vehicle could not be identified due to the severity of the burn condition. The motorcycle was impounded to be held for the Auto Theft Task Force as a possible stolen vehicle.

08/03 — Domestic Disturbance
Peachtree Court
At 8:08 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A female advised that she had been in an argument with her husband. Both denied any physical contact and neither had any visible marks or injuries. Officers cleared with no offense found. 

08/04 — Abandoned/Found Property
Tealcove Drive
At 4:19 p.m. an officer received a wallet found by a maintenance person at an apartment complex. The wallet was placed in Property for safekeeping. 

08/04 — Assault by Contact (Family Violence)
W. Kennedale Parkway
At 6:06 p.m. officers responded to an investigation. A witness stated that they had observed an assault take place. The male victim was still at the location and was contacted by the officers. The female suspect had left the scene before officers arrived. 

08/05 — Theft $750 to $2,500
Greenfield Court
At 9:27 p.m. a victim reported that her wallet and credit cards were taken. Unknown person(s) attempted to use her credit card at a convenience store in Fort Worth but it was declined due to the theft. 

08/05 — Drugs/Narcotics
3rd Street
At 4:59 p.m. officers were dispatched on possible narcotics activity. Contact was made with a group of persons at an apartment. Inside the location were numerous items of narcotics paraphernalia as well as marijuana. Several persons were cited for the paraphernalia. The marijuana will be submitted to a lab for THC analysis for charges to be filed later. 

08/06 — Theft $100 to $750
W. Kennedale Parkway
At 12:21 p.m. a victim reported that her laptop computer was taken from her residence by a known suspect.

08/06 — Driving While Intoxicated
E. Kennedale Parkway
At 7:44 p.m. officers responded to a report of an unconscious male in a vehicle. The male was located and appeared to be intoxicated. He was unable to successfully pass a field sobriety assessment. He was taken to a local hospital for a blood sample pursuant to a search warrant. The suspect was booked into jail without incident. 

08/07 — Assault by Contact (Family Violence)
Sunrise Drive
At 8:56 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and female had been in a verbal altercation earlier but the male had left the scene. No charges were filed at the time of the report due to a lack of evidence of criminal activity.
