Kennedale PD Incident Reports for the two week period of 11/01-14/2020

The following is based on the City of Kennedale Police reports for the time period given. This does not include calls for which no report was written, and some of these offenses — after further investigation — may be deemed unfounded. Read more @ http://www.cityofkennedale.com/99/Police

Police reports for the week of November 1-7, 2020

11/1 — Driving While Intoxicated E. I-20 … At 3:08 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner. The vehicle was stopped and the driver contacted. The driver, who exhibited signs of intoxication, was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. He was arrested for DWI and a warrant was requested for a blood draw. The driver was transported to jail for booking. 

11/2 — Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) Lindale Road … At 3:28 p.m. an officer responded to a stolen vehicle complaint. On contacting the female complainant it was determined that the complaint was actually a civil disagreement over the purchase of the vehicle. During the interview, the female also reported being the victim of domestic violence on the day before. The suspect, who was not on the scene, was reported to be the victim’s boyfriend. The victim was placed in contact with a women’s shelter. The investigation is still active and open. 

11/2 — Criminal Mischief $2,500 to $30,000 Susan Drive … At 10:06 p.m. An officer responded to a report of criminal mischief. A known male suspect was observed damaging a Ford Explorer belonging to the complainant’s son. The suspect told the complainant that her son owed him a large amount of money. The damage was apparently the result of the debt not being paid back. The suspect left before the complainant could contact the police. 

11/2 — Theft $100 to $750 5600 block of E. I-20 … At 1:44 p.m. a victim reported that she accidentally left her cell phone in a public restroom. Unknown person(s) removed the phone before the victim could come back to get it.

11/3 — Abandoned/ Found Property E. Kennedale Parkway … At 10:02 a.m. an officer received a set of keys found in the 600 block of E. Kennedale Parkway. The keys were placed in property/evidence for safekeeping until the owner is located. 

11/3 — Abandoned Vehicle Valley Lane … At 1:59 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a report of an abandoned vehicle. A wrecked Ford truck was found abandoned on the side of the roadway. The vehicle was impounded for safekeeping until an owner can be located. 

11/4 — Fraudulent Use/Possession Identifying Info Oak Hill Park … At 12:26 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown person had used her identity to open an unemployment claim with the Texas Workforce Commission. The victim reported that she is still fully employed.

11/4 — Burglary 4th Street … At 5:00 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown person(s) entered her residence while she was not at home. The suspect(s) removed several hundred dollars in personal property.

11/5 — Burglary of Vehicle Ruth Drive … At 6:05 a.m. a victim reported that an unknown person(s) entered his vehicle by breaking a window. Suspect(s) removed a bag of tools from the inside of the vehicle.

11/7 — Assault by Contact (Family Violence) Magnolia Drive … At 4:33 p.m. an officer was contacted by a male claiming to be a victim of domestic violence. The victim reported that his grandmother had pushed and shoved him during an argument. The suspect was not present at the time of the report. 

Police Reports for the week of November 8 – 11, 2020

11/08 — Incident (Other) W. Mistletoe Drive … At 3:46 p.m. an officer received a report of an adult male making sexually-suggestive comments to two juvenile females. No contact occurred and the children were removed from the premises by a parent.

11/08 — Theft $100 to $750 E. Kennedale Parkway … At 8:10 p.m. a victim reported that a known female suspect illegally removed his cell phone from his home. The suspect was not on the premises at the time of the report. 

11/11 — Drugs/Narcotics W. Kennedale Parkway … At 2:30 a.m. an officer stopped a suspicious vehicle. The driver was in possession of a substance believed to be a narcotic but could not be field-tested with the kits that were available. The driver was released pending a lab test on the unknown substance, which was pre-loaded into syringes. 

11/10 — Hit and Run Accident N. Little School Road … At 5:52 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown male backed his vehicle into hers while she was parked at a gas pump. The suspect fled without stopping. The victim did get the license plate number of the suspect vehicle. 

11/10 — Assault Bodily Injury Wildcat Way … On this date, officers responded to a group of juveniles fighting. Two of the juveniles were charged with assault.

11/12 — Abandoned/Found Property W. Kennedale Parkway … At 10:08 a.m. an officer received an abandoned bicycle. The item was found by a citizen on Kennedale Parkway. 

11/11 — Burglary of Vehicle W. Kennedale Parkway … At 11:00 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) entered his vehicle illegally and removed a handgun. 

11/13 — Missing Person (Juvenile) North Road … At 3:56 p.m. an officer received a runaway report on a juvenile male. The male has been reported as a runaway on several previous occasions.

11/14 — Driving While Intoxicated E. Kennedale Parkway … On this date, an officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The male driver exhibited signs of alcohol intoxication. He was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. The driver was placed under arrest for DWI and a voluntary blood sample was obtained at a local hospital. He was booked into jail without incident. 

11/14 — Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information W. Kennedale Parkway … At 9:45 p.m. a victim reported to police that a known female suspect had stolen the victim’s driver’s license.
