John Hunt, board member since 2009
John was born in Indiana, but he grew up living either in Texas or upstate New York. He attended college at Texas Tech and finishing a bachelor of science in business administration with a minor in political science just up the street at Lubbock Christian University; where he met his wife Kim. John and Kim were married in Vernon, TX in 1988 and lived in Childress, TX as John entered his family’s library furnishing business. They moved to Irving, TX in 1990, Arlington in 1991, and Kennedale in 2009. John’s wife Kim was an elementary teacher for 14 years before becoming the counselor at James A. Arthur Intermediate and now serves as a counselor at Kennedale HS. John and Kim’s four children graduated from Kennedale with six state champion rings for baseball and soccer.
