Kennedale takes on the Diamond Hill-Jarvis Eagles Thursday evening at Wildcat Stadium. The Eagles currently sit in last place in District 6/4A at 7-0.

This game marks the last game against the district’s second-tier teams before challenges by Western Hills and Dunbar, both 3-1 in district play. Dunbar had been undefeated in district play until Eastern Hills surprised Dunbar Wildcats last week 20-7. While Lake Worth remains alone in first at 4-0, the next four teams are playing in the process of deciding the next three places.

Kennedale at 4-3 overall and 3-1 is one of those teams but Kennedale does have an outside chance of claiming the district title. Kennedale does have to win out its next three games which include Western Hills and Dunbar. These wins would give the Cats second place. Lake Worth has to lose two of its next three games with Western Hills (5-2, 3-1), Dunbar (3-4, 3-1), and Eastern Hill) (4-3, 2-2). A single loss out of these three is believable but two losses would be most unexpected.
