The Kennedale High School Wildcat basketball team bounced back from a 13-13 record in 2020-21 to finish at 26-7 this year. The Cats finished second in district play, losing only to the eventual Class 4A 2021-22 State Champions Oak Cliff Life.
Kennedale entered the playoffs ranked #19 in Class 4A by MaxPreps before falling to Anna in first-round action 54-50. Ironically, it was Anna who knocked the Cats out of the playoffs last year.
It was the 13th straight year for the Wildcats to enter the playoffs. Actually, the Cats have only missed the playoffs twice in the last 25 years.
