POSITIVE TEST IN KENNEDALEThe following information has been posted by the City of Kennedale.

West Nile Virus (WNV) 🦟mosquito activity🦟 is at record-high levels in Tarrant County. Sampling and testing are done year-round.

To date, there have been more than 400 positive WNV tests in the County – five of which were from pools within the City of Kennedale.

Personal protection and elimination of breeding habitats are your two best tools. Regardless of surveillance results, you are encouraged to continue to follow the 4D’s of personal protection throughout the mosquito season:

✅ DUSK to DAWN: stay indoors when mosquitos are active

✅ DRAIN: prevent and eliminate standing water in places like flower pots, toys, clogged rain gutters, and wading pools

✅ DRESS: opt for light-colored long sleeves and pants

✅ DEET: apply repellant when outdoors
