JV Game Report Diamond Hill vs Wildcats

The JV Wildcats defeated the Diamond Hill Eagles 51-6 on Thursday night.

The first touchdown was a fumble recovery in the end zone and the rout began. Patrick Loving recovered the ball in the end zone after causing the fumble and Zane Kottwitz tacked on the extra point. On the next possession, the defense added a safety on a gang tackle in the end zone.

When the offense finally got the ball, after all of the defensive exploits, Derrick Williams scampered in from 27 yards. Kottwitz?s extra point was blocked. {{more}}

The defense scored another safety on a bad pitch bringing the score to 17 for the Wildcats. After the ensuing kick-off, quarterback Garland Washington connected on a 41 yard pass to Tramoney Cooper and Kottwiz added the extra point to end the scoring in the 1st quarter.

The second quarter picked up where the Wildcats left off in the 1st with a three yard rumble by Rodrigo Plietez. Kottwitz missed the extra point and the score climbed to 30. This was all of the scoring in the first half.

Kennedale received the ball to start the second half and converted several long runs into a 10 yard run for Williams, second score of the night. David Ream assumed the kicking duties for the Wildcats and booted the extra point to take the score to 37. After a quick three and out for Diamond Hill, the offense came on the field for a one play scoring drive with a pitch to Chris George which he carried 67 yards to the promised land. Ream added the extra point and the Wildcat?s were on cruise control.

Diamond Hill scored their only points of the night on their ensuing possession, which quickly brought the Wildcat?s back on offense. Blake Ingram capped the night with a 45 yard run through a gaping hole on the left side of the line. The defense smothered the Eagles for the rest of the night to take the Wildcat?s to the final score.

Both the offensive and defensive lines dominated the line of scrimmage all night making the game a cake walk for the Wildcats.
