? ? ?KHS had a great showing at UIL this past Saturday at Crowley High School with about 50 band students performing in the Region 7 UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest according to Band Director Erol Oktay.? ? ?“Kennedale had 28 soloists and 2 ensembles awarded First Divisions. We were also awarded 7 second division and 2 third division solos, and 2 second division ensembles.” {{more}}?? ? On top of that, “from the First division winners, 11 students are now eligible to advance to the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest to be held in May.”?? ? ?Earlier in the semester, the KHS Band had a number of students on the All-Region Band.
