Source Kennedale Police Department Weekly Incident Report

Twice the week of December 1, 2013, the Kennedale Police reported car burglaries that happen while the drivers were inside a store and one while parked at a residence.

December 1, 2013 in the 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway, the Kennedale police received a report at 10:45 a.m. from a woman who reported that her cell phone had been stolen from her unlocked vehicle. {{more}}

The victim’s mother, who was with her, had her purse and cell phone taken from the vehicle as well. The first victim stated that she and her mother stopped for a soft drink at a convenience store and went inside. While they were in the store an unknown person entered the unlocked vehicle and removed the items. The act was captured on the store’s video system and the video has been entered as evidence.

The next day another car burglary of an unlocked car was reported on Meadowdrive in Kennedale.

Two days later on December 4, the Kennedale Police received a complaint that while paying for gas at a store on Kennedale Parkway, the woman?s purse was stolen from her unlocked car. A witness observed the offense and wrote down the license plate number of the suspect’s vehicle.
