Twelve of the KHS Varsity cheerleaders won the Spirit Celebration Christmas Championship on Saturday, December 14th.
They had an amazing performance competing against 5A teams. {{more}}
In addition, out of over 4,000 cheerleaders at the competition, 30 cheerleaders were awarded ?WOW? awards for their exemplary performance. Senior, Jamil Pearson was given this honor.

This is the first of only two competitions for the KHS Cheerleaders. They will compete at the NCA High School National Championship on January 25th and 26th at the Dallas Convention Center. They placed fifth at nationals last year and are very likely to bring home first place this year. The juniors and seniors on this year?s squad were on the team that one Kennedale?s first National Championship as 7th and 8th graders. The KHS Varsity cheerleaders are coached by Barbara Johnston.
