It wasn?t necessarily a pretty win but once again the Wildcats (18-0) put together a quarter that sealed a win, beating Stephenville 61-48 Friday night at home.
Unbeaten and second-ranked Kennedale led just by four at the beginning of the 4th. The Wildcats went on to outscore the Yellow Jackets 21-13 in the final quarter. {{more}}

Wildcats/ Aundre Jackson (Sr) scored 18 points and was backed up by 17 from Ty Charles (Sr). Also scoring for Kennedale was VJ Hughes (Jr) with 9 and Kelon Doss (Sr) with 8. Brandon Conwright (So) and Colton Otts (So) each had 4 points.
Grayson Sweet for Stephenville had 18 points and B.J. Walker had 13 points. Both players had just return from the football field this past week. The Yellow Jackets (2-8) are better than the record indicates and will only improve as players from the football team work their way back into the line-up. Kennedale may face them again after Christmas in the upcoming Whatburger Tournament.
Early in the week, the Wildcats had a scare when Carrolton Ranchview outscored them 17-9 in the first quarter. Kennedale?s speed and experience went on to control the game by winning the 2nd quarter 14-9 and shutting Ranchview down 13-1 in the third. Kennedale won the game 58-42. High pointer for the Wildcats was Kelon Doss with 17 points followed by Jackson (16), Charles (12), Hughes (9) and Conwright (2).
Kennedale plays again December 26 in the opening round of the 56th annual Whataburger Tournament.
