With just one event left, the One Act Play, Kennedale High School is in 1st place in District 6-3A academic contests after the district UIL meet this past Saturday. Eighteen students will advanced to compete in the regional meet in Lubbock. {{more}}
 
Kennedale won eleven 1st places titles and fourteen 2nd place finishes. The KHS students won or place in calculator, number sense; current events, social studies; computer science; spelling, writing, literary criticism, editorial writing, headline writing, poetry, prose, persuasive speaking, informative speaking and news writing.
