The Kennedale Lady Kats softball team currently ranked #3 in state 3A coaches poll, lived up to their lofty ranking by beating district rival Springtown 11-0.
Allie Turner got the no-hitter Friday night at home, ringing up 14 strike outs and walking none. {{more}}
The Lady Kats have started the second round of district play with an undefeated record of 6-0 and an overall record of 17-6.
Nine runs in the opening three innings allowed Kennedale to easily put away Springtown. A two-run triple by Jazlyn Crowder during the first inning and an RBI triple by Turner and a two-run triple by Crowder in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Kats.
Crowder racked up four RBIs on three hits for Kennedale. Turner helping her own cause had a double and a triple. Ciera Trotter swung for 2 doubles in game.
Next up will be district games against Diamond Hill at home on Tuesday, April 8 and at Castleberry Friday, April 11. Both games start at 7:30 p.m.Game Changer for latest on Lady Kat Softball
