Teague has had a remarkable career as coach after taking over in the second year of Kennedale?s fledging baseball program in 1985. In a record 30 years as a head coach, Teague?s teams have produced 28 all-state players with three players (Dustin Duncan, Austin Newell and Brady Capshaw) named in multiple years and one (Corey Taylor) named ?Player of the Year? in 2011 for all of Class 3A.
His teams have won 748 games, 13 district championships, 19 playoff appearances, 14 bi-district championships, 10 area titles, 8 regional quarter finals, 2 regional semifinals, one regional final and one state championship (2011).

Three years ago Teague was honored with having the playing field named the Jet Teague Ballpark. At the ballpark is a memorial bench placed there by the 2012 KHS Wildcat football team in honor of Jet?s wife, Becky, who died that year.
