Three 3rd grade classrooms at James Delaney Elementary captured 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the Tarrant County Sumdog Competition. {{more}}
There were among 26 classes across Tarrant County who participated in a week long math competition. The classes from Delaney Elementary were Mrs. Peters (1st), Mrs Troche (2nd) and Mrs. Valentino 3rd classrooms.
Third grader Matthew B. from Mrs. Peters classroom scored 1st out of 221 students. Matthew answered 953 questions correctly out 1,000.
Last spring, James Delaney Elementary finished 3rd in competition and James Arthur Intermediate finished in 4th place.
