Mark Daniels of Kennedale is a volunteer and supporter of MS Society?s efforts. He knows the impact that MS has had on his family. Daniels? daughter, Miranda, was diagnosed with MS after she started losing sight in one of her eyes. She was 24 then. The loss of eyesight due to lesions is just one of the impairing symptoms of MS.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society was able to provide numerous resources and assist with expenses for necessary injections and infusions for Miranda, as well as support. The disease can deal a crippling blow to the individual and the family both emotionally and financially.

Mark now volunteers with the annual Sam?s

Club Round Up Ride, a 150+ mile local bike ride that raises over a million dollars for MS research and assistance. Daniels rides with the Motorcycle Support Team during this two day event. Last year in 2014, Mark actually rode a bicycle as a one of the participants.

This year Sam’s Club bike event is scheduled for May 2nd and 3rd.
