Senior Night for Playoff Bound Kennedale Soccer Program

Tonight is the last game of the regular season for the Kennedale Soccer program playing at home against Venus. The program will honor its seniors. {{more}}
 
The Kennedale LadyKats, who will be recognizing three seniors, will have the chance to cap a perfect district season. The LadyKats are 15-2-2 overall and 5-0 in district.
 
Tuesday night they defeated district rival, Alvarado, 8-0 with six goals in the first half and two in the second. Scoring for the Kats were Alondra Olmos, AllieThornton (2), Abby Key, Abby Olmos, Megan Jakubinson, Bailey Gow and Daphne Hunt. With the win Kennedale secured the district championship.
 
Seniors that will be honored tonight are Abby Key, Taylor Bush and Esmeralda Garcia. Varsity game time is 7:30 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
 
 
The Kennedale Wildcats will play at 6 p.m. and are trying to secure a third place finish in district play. They have made the playoffs for the first time in school history with the leadership of 11 seniors.
 
The Wildcats are 11-8-3 with a 3-3-1 district record.
 
Tuesday night Kennedale defeated Alvarado (9-11-3, 4-3-1)) by a score of 2-1. Alvarado scored their first and only goal at the 9 minute mark. Kennedale responded with a goal by Michael Kaszynski just before half, leaving the game tied at 1-1 at the break. Halfway through the second half, Marc Johnson scored the winning goal for Kennedale giving the Cats the lead and the game at 2-1. Under the points system, Kennedale needed to beat Alvarado by 2 points to move into second place in the district standings.
 
Seniors that will be honored tonight are David Ream, Marc Johnson, Gustavo Rodriguez, Michael Vargas, William Mclean, Guillermo Aceituno, Martin Marquez, Cameron Christoforo, Andrew Mclaughin, David Ortega and Diego Aceituno.
