It is not too late, you can participate in the annual Delaney stroll (or dash for the believers) that will take place at Sonora Park, this Saturday, April 25 at 8:00 a.m. {{more}}
The deadline to register was April 15 but onsite registration is available. Cost is $25 for adult and $10 for children 10 & under. (If you did not register by the deadline there is not a guarantee of a race t-shirt.)
But it is the cause not the race that is the focus. Since 2006, JF Delaney Elementary has awarded scholarships to selected graduating seniors in honor of James F. Delaney who served as the principal of the school and worked for over 40 years as an administrator/coach in Kennedale ISD.
The event is fun and low key and has attracted both the causal walker to the serious runner.

The Saturday is predicted to have brilliant sunshine and to be just on the cool side ? picture perfect.
