The Kennedale
Police Department reported a number incidents that required an investigation for the week of September 6 – 12. Incidents include solicitation of a minor, ID theft, hit and run and several burglaries. {{more}}
09/09 – Online Solicitation of a Minor – Mansfield Cardinal Road: On this date, a report was received from Arlington police in reference to a 13 year old female who resides in Kennedale posing as an adult on dating web sites. She has been receiving sexually graphic photos from several adult males. The case remains open.
09/09 – Hit and Run Accident – Sublett Road: At 4:09 p.m. a victim reported that his 2014 Buick had been struck by an unknown vehicle. The damage was near the front right headlight.
09/09 – Fraudulent Use/ Possession of Identifying Information – Shady Creek Drive: At 5:17 p.m. a victim reported that his identity was used to open two credit card accounts. The cards appear to have been requested from an address in California. The identity theft may be related to the Blue Cross Blue Shield data hack from earlier in the year.
09/11 – Vehicle Burglary – Kevin Miller Road: At 7:30 a.m. two victims reported that their unlocked vehicles had been entered. One of the victims had an in-dash stereo removed while the other vehicle was only damaged as the suspect(s) unsuccessfully tried to remove the stereo.
09/11 – Burglary – Kevin Miller Road: A victim reported that her unsecured garage was entered and several tools stolen.
09/11 – Vehicle Burglary – 400 block of Kevin Miller Road: A victim reported that three males in a red truck stopped in front of his house during the night on 09/10/2015 at 9:25 p.m. The males entered his unsecured vehicle and removed a $300.00 jacket. The victim had video of the offense.
09/11 – Burglary – Kevin Miller Road: A victim reported that unknown suspect(s) entered her unlocked garage and removed tools valued at $400.00. A locked vehicle that was in the garage was not entered.
09/11 – Injury to a Child – Cloverlane Drive: At 7:54 p.m. a report was taken from a female who stated that her 5 year old son was injured during the school day. The child stated that he was scratched by a teacher in a classroom. There were injuries on the child consistent with the report. The child’s mother had already contacted school officials.
09/12 – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – W. Kennedale Parkway: At 6:15 p.m. an officer observed a sleeping male parked in a business parking area. The male was in possession of a narcotics pipe in plain view on his console. After the male was awakened he was interviewed about the pipe. A second pipe as well as other paraphernalia was located but no narcotics were found. The suspect was cited for the violation and released after he was determined to not be intoxicated.
09/12 – Theft $2,500 to $30,000 – S. Eden Road: At 5:37 p.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown removed his race car trailer from his property. The victim did not have a license plate or VIN and did not give a value.
