KHS ARCHERY – The state archery tournament is underway in Belton, Texas at the Bell County Expo. Kennedale archers will shoot at 9:00 and 10:15 tomorrow. The team goal for tomorrow is 3,200 points for top 12 archers. {{more:[read more]}}That is a 267 average for those twelve. 5 money scholarships for top 5 boys and girls in the state of Texas. This is the first year for Kennedale to compete.
 

POWERLIFTING – Five KHS weightlifters have made the cut for state after helping Kennedale win the Region 6 title. One of the lifters, Justin Linsday in the 114 weight class is defending his 2015 state title and the others are after their first. Also representing the Wildcats are John Mitchell (148 wgt class), Colton Hall (220 wgt class) and Barron Browning and Matt Naugle (248 wgt). The state meet will be held on Saturday April 2 at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene, Texas. Opening Ceremonies begin at 8:30 a.m.

 
LADYKAT SOCCER – After demolishing Dallas Hampton Prep 12-0 in first round bi-district action last week, the #1 LadyKats (21-2, 8-0) take on Celina in an Area playoffs game 6 pm at Frisco Reedy High School. The Celina Lady Bobcats (11-3, 5-3) are in their ?Cinderella? season fielding their first ever girls soccer team. They finished 2nd in District 5-4A. Their #1 player is junior Haley Berg, who has netted 58 goals and 10 in 15 games.
 
LADY KAT SOFTBALL – The Lady Kats vs Venus at Kennedale to take on the Lady Bulldogs in a game to help keep the Kats in first place in District 7-4A. Kennedale (8-14-1, 3-1) is coming off a 6-0 defeat by Godley (9-2, 3-1) last week. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
 
WILDCAT BASEBALL – The Cats vs Venus Friday night at Kennedale in another important District 7-4A battle. Kennedale at 1-1 in district play need another district win to remain in contention for the district title in a highly competitive district race. Godley made a strong claim for the title in their 11-3 win over the Cats last week. Venus is the defending district champ. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
 
KENNEDALE TRACK – Both the Wildcats and the Lady Kats tracksters will be at a track meet at Garland Naaman Forest High School on Friday, April 1.
