The #1 Kennedale LadyKats (22-2, 8-0) polished off Celina in an area playoff game last week by a score of 9-2. Earlier they had defeated Hampton Prep by a score of 12-0 to win a bi-district game. Tonight they take on Argyle (14-6-2, 5-2) in a regional quarterfinal final game at Grapevine Mustang Panther Stadium at 7 p.m. {{more:[read more]}}

4/1 vs Celina (W) 9-2 UIL Area …

In the first half Kennedale scored 3 goals to one by Celina and in the second half the LadyKats popped in 6 more goals to take the win by 7.

3/25 vs Hampton Prep (W) 12-0 IL Bi-District …

It was all LadyKats as Kennedale overwhelmed Hampton Prep team from Dallas in first round action in the UIL state playoffs. Kennedale, the defending state champions played the fourth seed from District 7-4A scoring 8 goals in the first half and 4 in the second.

Seven LadyKats shared the goals in this game with Baylee Gow (Jr) leading with 3 goals (4 SOG) along with 3 asst. Gow has 15 goals this season. 4/4 vs Argyle Region Quarterfinal …

Tonight?s game pits Kennedale against the Argyle Lady Eagles who finished second behind Melissa in District 5-4A this year. Argyle is coming off of a 5-2 win over Diamond Hill in an area playoff game last week.

 

Kennedale and Argyle met in the area round last year with the LadyKats coming away with a 2-1 win. Earlier this year Kennedale traveled to Argyle to take a 6-1 win. Argyle is ranked #13 in 4A MaxPreps. Kennedale is ranked #1.

 

This game may be the LadyKats’ first challenge in its quest to return to the 4A title game. Game time 7 p.m.
