Bunnell former KHS Swimmer competes at NCC Championships

Blake Bunnell, KHS Class 2015, is attending Georgia Tech this year and swimming for the Georgia Tech Swim Club team. Bunnell has already made an impact in his freshman year, setting team records finishing in the top ten in several events. {{more:[read more]}}
 
In the fall, swimming at the GCSU swim meet, the GT Swim Club men?s team finished 1st. At the meet, Bunnell finished 2nd in the 100 IM, 2nd in the 50yd Backstroke.
 
At the National Collegiate Club Swimming Championships in Atlanta, from April 1 – 3, 2016, Blake had four top ten finishes, including sixth place in the 200 back, tenth place in the 500 free, ninth place in the 200 IM, and eighth place in the 1000 free. Out of 1,800 swimmers Blake was the 20th ranked swimmer in scored points and the high point swimmer for Georgia Tech. He also set 4 team records at the meet.
 
The Georgia Tech Men’s team placed 6th out of 78 teams only losing to Ohio State, University of Florida, University of Colorado, Colorado Mesa and University of Virginia.
 
Bunnell also made the Dean’s list this past semester with a 3.84 G.P.A. while majoring in Industrial Engineering and minoring in

Computer Science.
