Police Department

 

04/11 ? Theft $2,500 to $30,000 ? 3800 block of Kennedale New Hope Road: At 9:30 p.m. a victim reported to police that his Red Yamaha motorcycle had been stolen from Texas Raceway. The vehicle was taken between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

04/13 ? Theft $100 to $750 ? 200 block of Valley Lane: At 4:28 a.m. a victim reported to police that an unknown male and female had illegally entered his business and stolen an air compressor valued at $200.00. The victim reported that as he arrived for work a white Ford van pulled off of the property. It was occupied by the two listed suspects. He went to the rear of the building and discovered that the door was partially open where entry was made.

04/13 ? Burglary ? 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:01 a.m. a victim reported that his business had been burglarized. Unknown suspect(s) removed electronics, tools, and generators valued at $23,900.00. Also stolen was a 2008 black Mercedes Benz SUV. Entry was achieved by prying open a back door. Surveillance video showed the suspect vehicle to be a white Ford van with at least one female occupant. The stolen vehicle was later stopped at I-20 and Bowman Springs Road by Arlington police. The vehicle was driven by a female who was arrested and booked in for the theft. The case remains under investigation.

04/13 – Burglary ? 100 block of Peachtree Court: At 3:56 p.m. officers responded to a burglary in progress. The victim reported that he was upstairs and heard a noise from the ground floor. He went down the stairs and observed an unknown male attempting to climb through a window. The victim yelled at the suspect, who then ran from the area. Officers were unable to locate the suspect in the neighborhood. Nothing was taken from the residence.

04/13 ? Theft Under $100 ? 500 block of North Road: At 4:25 p.m. a victim reported that unknown suspect(s) removed a UPS package from her porch earlier in the day. The tracking number indicated the package was left on her porch at 1:47 p.m. It was not there when the victim arrived home. The package contained birthday gifts valued at $34.95 for the victim?s child.

04/13 ? Assault by Contact ? Dick Price Road: At 7:51 p.m. officers responded to an assault. A victim reported that a known suspect, who is a neighbor, came over to the home, and was being loud and profane over an issue with a common fence on their properties. The suspect chest bumped and shoved the victim during the argument. The suspect, who was later interviewed by officers at her home, appeared to be intoxicated.

04/14 ? Fail to Identify (Fugitive) ? 200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 12:11 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver presented a Texas I.D. card but no operator?s license. The passenger had no identification on him and gave the officer a name and date of birth that was false. Further investigation revealed that the passenger had an active warrant for his arrest under a different name, which is his correct name. Fingerprinting at the jail during booking revealed that he was the fugitive named in the warrant.

04/14 ? Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) ? : At 2:07 p.m. a detective responded to an area hospital for a domestic violence report. The victim, a female, stated that her boyfriend had physically assaulted her during an argument. This was not the first assault on the victim. She checked herself into the hospital for treatment and protection. The detective was able to refer the victim to One Safe Place for shelter placement.

04/15 ? Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) ? At 6:08 a.m. a victim reported that she was assaulted by her baby?s father, who does not live with her. The victim reported that she dropped the father off at his home after spending the night together at her home in Fort Worth. The suspect then got upset that the victim couldn?t take him to work and assaulted her in the vehicle. The victim drove to her mother?s home and called police.

04/15 ? Assault by Threat ? 6700 block of Oak Crest Drive: At 4:06 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance. A victim reported that a customer in his business became upset and made threats against the victim. The suspect was identified but had left before officers arrived.

04/17 ? Abandoned Vehicle ? 5400 block of Link Street: At 5:16 p.m. an officer observed an unoccupied gray 2004 Chrysler parked in a traffic lane. The vehicle displayed multiple license plates and no owner could be contacted. The vehicle was impounded and held until an owner could be located.

04/18 ? Theft Under $100 ? 1300 block of Meadowview Drive: At 5:21 p.m. a victim reported that unknown suspect(s) had written a forged check on his account. The check was part of a shipment of checks that the victim ordered but did not receive. It is believed that the checks were stolen out of the victim?s mail box.

04/18 – Missing Juvenile ? At 6:50 p.m. a father reported that his 14 year old daughter had not returned home from school. The father had no idea where she could have gone and has not had indications that the daughter was planning to leave. She was entered in the national database as a runaway.

04/19 ? Credit/Debit Card Abuse ? 500 block of Oak Leaf Drive: At 12:15 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown person used her credit card number to make a transaction. The phone number attached to the purchase is out of the San Antonio area.

04/19 ? Criminal Trespass ? 1000 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 10:05 p.m. officers responded to a burglary in progress call. On arrival, a night security employee stated that a male had entered the gated and locked parking area of the business. The suspect stated that he wanted to retrieve a bicycle and bowling ball that belonged to him. The suspect was arrested for criminal trespass. The employee was also wanted on multiple warrants from White Settlement. He was also arrested. Both were transported to jail for booking.

04/20 ? Open Container in Passenger Area ? 7200 block of Bowman Springs Road: At 12:48 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver, a male, was upset about an argument with his wife and had left home to think. He had been drinking. The driver, while not intoxicated, was visibly upset about his domestic issues. An open can of beer was in the passenger side of the car. The officer felt that, given the male?s state of mind, it would be safer to give him a ride home after parking his vehicle at a nearby business until he could get it later.

04/20 ? Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) ? At 1:00 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Two sisters were at the residence and had gotten into an argument that became physical, with one of the sisters assaulting the other. The suspect was arrested for assault and transported to jail for booking.

04/20 ? Possession of Drug Paraphernalia ? 700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 8:49 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The vehicle was occupied by three adult males. During the interview of the occupants, a glass methamphetamine pipe was located near the rear seat occupant. No narcotics were found in the vehicle and the occupant was issued a citation for the paraphernalia.

04/20 ? DWI ? 900 block of Little School Road: At 5:09 p.m. officers responded to a minor accident with a possible intoxicated driver involved. One of the drivers, a 19 year old male, appeared intoxicated and was unable to successfully perform a field sobriety assessment. He was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to jail for a breath test. The breath test confirmed intoxication with a result of 0.19 blood alcohol content.

04/21 ? Theft $100 to $750 ? 800 block of Sublett Road: At 11:10 a.m. a company employee reported that suspect(s) unknown entered the property, a gas well pad, and removed four deep-cycle marine batteries valued at a total of $500.00. Company security officers are reviewing security video to identify the suspect(s).

04/21 ? Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information ? 1100 block of Colbi Street: At 2:10 p.m. a victim reported that her credit card was used to make several hundred dollars in fraudulent charges. The victim also reported that the suspect(s) have her personal information as they are opening other store credit accounts in her name.

04/21 ? Sexual Assault ? At 4:44 p.m. a female victim reported that a known male suspect had sexually and physically assaulted her. The suspect and the victim share a home together but are not involved, according to the victim. The victim stated that she was asleep and she was awakened by the suspect trying to sexually assault her. When she refused him, he physically struck her in the face. She demonstrated injuries consistent with her story.

04/22 ? Fail to Register (Sex Offender) ? 100 block of Peachtree Court: A detective received a request from a registered male sex offender that he needed to register his residence in Kennedale. It was discovered that the last registered address for the offender was in White Settlement. The offender had since moved to Fort Worth and then to Kennedale. He has not been registered at any new residences for 10 months.

04/23 ? Emotionally Disturbed Person ? 400 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:55 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious person. A male was located and interviewed. The male had trouble answering questions and did not know where he was, stating he was homeless. He was supposed to be taking medication for psychosis but did not have any. An officer transported the male to JPS Hospital for mental evaluation and treatment.

04/23 ? Incident ? 5700 block of E. I-20: At 10:18 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance at a business. A manager informed the officers that he had terminated an employee, who later threatened the manager?s life. The threat was overheard by another employee on the property. Officers were called because the employee had returned to the property looking for the manager, forcing the manager to flee in order to remain safe. The suspect was not on scene when the officers arrived.

04/23 ? Assault by Contact ? 6700 block of Hudson Village Creek Road: At 11:30 p.m. an officer responded to an assault complaint. Two males had been in a verbal confrontation that became physical. Neither one was injured but both were offended by each other?s contact. Both were issued citations for assault by contact.
