The Kennedale Lady Kats for the second year in a row finished 2nd in the UIL 4A Region 1 Track meet in Lubbock over the weekend. {{more:[Read more]}}
The Lady Kats finished with 62 points behind Big Spring at 82 points. Rounding out the top five were Abilene Wylie (41), Dalhart (39) and Vernon (38). The Lady Kats had four gold winning performances at the meet. The Lady Kats will be sending their two relay teams plus winners of the 100m and 200m to the state meet in Austin.
The KHS Wildcats placed 4th overall with 44 points. Winning the meet was Big Spring (58) followed by a tie for 2nd between Abilene Wylie and WF Hirschi (46). At #5 was Monahans (38). The Cats were led by their 1st place 4×200 relay team which is also state bound.
