Two members of the Kennedale Board of Trustees, Janet Adams and Stewart Richardson sat through their final board meeting April 21. The Board will be reorganized this month with the swearing of two new members. {{more:[Read more]}}The two are retiring. For their years of service, Adams and Richardson, were recognized at the April meeting.
Superintendent Gary Dugger, reading from a proclamation to a large group of parents, students and staff that were in attendance, ?We would like to thank you [Janet Adams and Stewart Richardson] for your years of service and everything that you have helped this school district to accomplish during your terms. Your dedication to the KISD has been outstanding.?
It was especially poignant for Janet Adams who has served since 2004.She told the audience, ?I just want to say thanks to everyone in the community and the district. It has been a great 12 years. There has been a lot going on and a lot of ups and downs but I enjoyed every minute of it. I am going to miss every one of you. I do want to thank my family, they have put up with a lot.? And then referring to the students in attendance, ?You kids are great. Good luck to everybody.?
