KISD James Arthur Intermediate School will be performing for the general public tonight, Thursday, May 26, a one night only production of the musical Annie Jr. {{more:[read more]}}
The performance will be in Wildcat Auditorium at 7 pm at Kennedale High School. The auditorium is located inside the high school. The entrance is located on the southside of the building near the football field.

Annie Jr, is based on the successful stage and screen musical Annie and is the well-known story of the 11 year old famously red-headed orphan who with spunk and grit finds the ?family? she has always wanted. This is a musical licensed by Music Theatre International’s Broadway Junior collection, specially edited to be performed by young performers in a shortened version. It is performed internationally every year by acting academies, programs, schools, and theatre camps.
Making special appearances in the production will be retired JA Arthur Principal Danny Greenfield as Daddy Warbucks and Kennedale City Mayor Brian Johnson as President Franklin D Roosevelt. The rest of the cast and crew involved are 5th and 6th grade students from James Arthur.It is under the direction of Linda Graddy and co-director Trisha Mata. Choreography by Linda Graddy. James Arthur has staged 20 musicals over the last 18 years and Linda Graddy has been involved with 14 as director or co-director. This is the second production of Annie, Jr. for James Arthur.
(Please remember that this is a chance to see and hear the talents of the students who have put in months of practice for this performance. Crying babies and restless small children distract from the stage performances. Please make arrangements for those who are not of age to appreciate the show).
