Jo Ellen Black age 69, of Winchester, went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 19, 2016. {{more:[full obituary]}}On May 10, 1947 in Seminole, TX the late Joseph and Ada Glaze welcomed Jo Ellen to the world. She was a graduate of Kennedale High School in Kennedale, TX [Class of 1965].Mrs. Black was very mechanically inclined. She enjoyed teaching people sign language. She was an avid and faithful member of the Way Of The Cross and was in the sign language ministry.In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Black; two sisters and son.Ms. Black leaves behind to cherish her memories, daughter, Mellisa Garner of Florida; granddaughters, Ashley Vandergriff of Morrison, TN and Brittany Davis of Cowan, TN; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Anne (Steve) Allen of Winchester, TN, Sherry Brewer, Barbara Hawley and Kathy Beaty all of Texas. She will also be missed by her four legged best friends Dufus and Spunky.Visitation for Ms. Black was on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 12-2pm with the funeral service following at 2pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral home with Rev. Rudy Wilkerson and Rev. Cecil Mathis officiating.Interment followed in Cherry Cemetery in Decherd where she was laid to rest next to her husband, Wayne Black.
