Early Wednesday morning a fire was reported at the M&M Corner Store located at 4540 Dick Price Rd. on the outskirts of Kennedale. {{more:[read more]}}
Kennedale and Mansfield fire departments both responded but it turned out be just across the street from the Kennedale city limits.
The store, located at the corner of Dick Price Road and Wilson Road, is a small family owned business. It was destroyed in the early morning fire.
The owner said that he opened the store approximately 3 years ago and has never had any problems. He wants to re-open but was working with the insurance company to see what would be possible.
The Tarrant County Fire Marshal Randy Renois said that the investigation into the fire was ongoing but it did appeared to have been an intentionally set along with a possible burglary.
?Incidents like these take time to investigate and right now that is all we can share,? said Renois.
The owner who was at the store until midnight, said that someone had reported that a pick-up was seen parked in front of the store sometime between the time the owner left and the fire was reported.
