Billy E. “Bill” Bishop went to meet his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Bill was born April 20, 1933, in Fort Worth.He was a devoted member and head trustee of First Bible Baptist Church for 60 years. Bill retired from Harbison/Fisher after 30 years as a home operator. He was also a city councilman from 1972-1978.Survivors: Beloved wife of 59 years, Ruthie M. Bishop; children, Kenneth Bishop, William Bishop, and Sara Jane Johnson-Cotton and husband, Danny Ray; grandchildren, William Jr., Melissa and Michelle Bishop, Timothy, Andrew, Joanna and Caleb “Pecos” Johnson; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Gilbert Mills and wife, Sharon, C.M. Swisher, and James Swisher and wife, Ollie; sister-in-law, Susan Bishop; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
